Giant thorny stick insect
The giant thorny stick insect is a newly discovered species, first described in 2006. As the name suggest, this is a big species of stick insect. These insects live on the Babuyan Islands in the Philippines.
The males are smaller and less "thorny" than females reaching 7,5 cm, while the females reach 12,5 cm.
